The Isle of Sheppey is only 9 miles by 4 miles and its name means Island
of Sheep, reached by crossing over the River Swale on the new road
bridge. Oasis, previously Saddlebrook Park is a pleasant holiday park
close to good beaches looking across to Whitstable. A traditional seaside
resort, there is easy access to pubs and restaurants and entertainment
on adjacent sites. Indoor swimming pool closeby. Visit the RSPB site at
Elmley Marshes. Minster the highest point on the Island affords good
views and Minster Lea Beach is good for surfing. Sheerness has a long
naval tradition, visit the Heritage centre and Eastchurch is where Henry
VIII and Anne Boleyn spent their honeymoon in 1532. Shop 100 yards,
