The Roger Day Evening Show    -   Weekday evenings on BBC Radio Kent, 7pm - 10pm

A rare beast in the world of radio these days... a programme where the DJ still has the choice of what he
plays! For those too young to remember, Roger day was one of the original radio ‘pirates’, who broadcast
from ships moored out in the North Sea back in the 60’s. He’s still going strong, and for the first two hours
of his show each evening plays an excellent choice of music. This is one place you will not find the same
100 songs repeated on a rotation until you’re sick of them! Instead you get probably the best mixture of
great music anywhere on British radio, as he delves back to those great tracks you’d forgotten, and is not
afraid to play album tracks, rarities, or belt out some great rocking sounds. Where else would you find The
Buggles, Whitesnake, Elvis, and the Beach Boys... All in the same 15 minutes?                    .
The last hour of the show each night is a specialist music hour - different each night of the week. Country,
Showtunes, Swing, Soul, Disco, and Jazz, all feature. If you’re a music lover, then give this show a try for
a week and you’ll be hooked!                                                 .
